Oppo owned Realme brand has launched 4 smartphones this year in India, of which Realme 1 was launched in May, after that the company launched Realme 2, then the Realme launched two new smartphones which included Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1 in August and in September respectively. Out of these, this article is about the Realme C1 review where we’ll find out how good Realme’s cheapest smartphone is in every aspect?
Realme C1’s Specifications and Price:
Realme C1 has a 6.2-inch HD Plus display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. The aspect ratio of the display is 19: 9 and there is also Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the display. The weight of the phone is 168 grams and it has Android Oreo 8.1 based color operating system. Also this phone has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB with the help of SD card. Apart from this, Realme C1 has an Octacore Snapdragon 450 processor in it which powers this phone.
Talking about the Realme C1 camera, this phone has a dual-rear camera (13 + 2 megapixel) and a 5-megapixel front camera. This phone has a 4230mAh battery and for connectivity, it has features like Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Face Unlock, Bluetooth V4.2. Realme C1 has a hybrid sim tray where Memory card can be used together with two sims in it. The three slots will meet in the same tray. The price of this phone is INR 6,999 which is under the Diwali offer and after that, the price may be increased but it will remain within the INR 10,000 margin.
Realme C1’s Design:
Realme is making it to the headlines for special Diamond Cut design right from its first phone Realme 1. The company has not provided a diamond design on Realme C1, but the design of the phone still looks excellent. The phone is not too heavy and not too thick. In this way, you will not have any problem while using the phone, although due to the body made up of glass, the phone easily slides off your hand. So, we will recommend you to use the phone with some sort of case or skin. However, the company also gives you a plastic cover in the box along with adapter, micro USB cable and SIM card ejector which is great. In this case, there is no need to buy a cover for the phone.
The power button on the right and the volume rockers are on the left side of the phone. The SIM card slot is present right above the volume buttons. The fingerprint sensor is absent on the Realme C1 which I probably did not like. In return, the company has given a Fast Face Unlock feature. On the bottom side, we have a Micro USB charging port right in the middle and the speaker on its left side and headphone jack on the right side which is of 3.5mm. Talking about the back panel, there is a dual rear camera setup in the left corner and the flashlight beside it.
Realme C1’s Display:
As far as Realme C1’s display is concerned, you will love the display. Especially during watching videos, the image quality and pixel representation look way too beautiful. The viewing angle is great too. In such a situation, if two people watch videos together on the same phone then they will not need to change the angle for a better view of the screen contents. The auto brightness level given for display works great. The brightness of the display in the sun is automatically adjusted in the auto-mode. On the display, you get the Notch. In Realme C1, physical home and back buttons have not been given following the market trends. The phone has gesture controls for the purpose of navigation.
Realme C1’s Camera:
Realme C1 has a dual rear camera setup with one lens of 13 megapixels and the secondary lens is of 5 megapixels. You get Flashlight with the rear camera. The front camera is 5 megapixels. The front camera is powered by Artificial Intelligence and has Beauty mode. Also, you get a timer to click the HDR and photo from the front camera. At the same time, you can also click selfies with a hand gesture which is another cool feature in this phone.
You do not get zooming in and out options in the front camera. With the help of both the rear and front camera, you can do full HD video recording. As far as the performance of the Realme C1 camera is concerned, the rear camera comes with a good background blur. Realme C1’s rear camera zoom is not that good as you would expect it to be. The company needs to work on it. The contrast in the photo is a bit more noticeable. Low light photography is average. Overall, the Realme C1 camera will not disappoint you in the range of INR 6,999. The Face Unlock function in the front camera works amazingly fast.

Overall Performance and Battery Backup of Realme C1:
When it comes to performance testing with respect to gaming, the phone does not get hot during gaming and charging. During gaming, there was no lag felt on this phone. The huge 4230mAh battery given in this phone takes more than 3:30 hours to be fully charged. Even after watching two movies in Auto Brightness mode on YouTube, 22 percent of the battery was left in the phone. So you do not have to worry about the battery backup. If you are an average user then the battery will easily last for more than 1 day. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap smartphone that has a great build quality and a great processor with a classy design, you can buy Realme C1. One thing is for sure that this phone will not disappoint you in this budget segment.
Some suggestion for Realme manufacturers:
There is also a problem with this phone that there is no option to swipe down the notification. For example, you are playing a game on a phone or watching a movie or video, and at the same time a notification comes, you can not delete that notification. Notifications will automatically be lost in a few seconds. The company needs to consider this notification issue as it spoils user experience. Another problem with notification is that you can not hide the notification by swiping down the notification panel. Either you have to delete all the notifications or if you want to delete one of the notifications, you will get two options. One setting and the second delete. It should be that there should be an option to delete notifications just by swiping once.
Apart from that, the phone seems to me like a good buy for the price tag it has. So if you running low on budget, you should choose this device as it is worth your money.
